Mantel Party ~ Playroom Style

Since I have been working on finishing the playroom this week I thought I would share a little sneak peek.

This is the top of our cubby wall unit. {I just adore cubbies}

I have a thing for unique vintage looking replicas and oversized objects ~ like these vintage inspired bowling pins
an oversized cast iron jack
and an extra large wooden button ~ simply love them all.
My other weakness; wooden bowls. This large tree trunk bowl is one of my favorites. Filled with natural wooden blocks I think it’s the perfect playroom accessory.
~Hope~ we have a lot of it around here for our precious boy; it keeps us going
This wooden jointed bear was one of the first things I purchased for my son’s first nursery {don’t you just want to squeeze him}
Found a home for that sweet little DT frame {found here}
Adding natural elements to any room works for me. I love the combination of all the different wood; usually it bugs me but I’m liking it here. I still would like to find some curly willow and birch to replace the branches that are in the basket…just need to get my hands on some.
The playroom is almost complete ~ I am hoping for some warmer weather so I can finish up the craft workshop, which has taken longer than I expected. It has just been really cold around here and unfortunately there is no heat there yet ~ it’s coming along, though I have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime. Hope you enjoy your weekend!
