Show Your Jars Some Love ~ Book Page Heart Fillers

Show Your Jars Some Love ~ Book Page Heart Fillers

I promised myself I would use every single page of this paperback book {I’m only on page 53 if you’re wondering} so here you go. More book page cuties.

I know everyone has empty jars, lanterns, hurricanes, etc. to fill now that the Holidays are over so why not get a jump start for February. {think ♥ love} This is so easy I’m not even sure you need a tutorial but I put one together because I’m feeling the love already.

Start by cutting your book pages in strips. Again, I used a paper cutter but you could easily measure straight lines with a ruler and cut with scissors.

Fold your strip in half to make a ‘v’ ~ Just like yesterday’s tutorial.

You then want to gently rub a glue stick on the paper as marked above. {the outer edge of the ‘v’ and a dab in the crease on the inner score}

Fold the two top edges in like so and press to adhere

Then fold down into the crease and again gently press to adhere. That simple; there is your love.

I added mine to two lanterns I already had filled with ‘snow’ for the holidays. To add some color, I made a few using *The Graphic Fairy* paper I used yesterday. You can find it here.

I love the way they glow when the candle light shines through. Enjoy!

    Have a wonderful day.

  2. Great idea, and recycling too.

  3. Now, that’s clever! I guess a large votive would be different from a candle that burns all the way down like a small votive. I saw some pretty candles on sale at Pier One.

    What if the pages were sprayed with glitter before cutting into strips.
    Then your heats would really sparkle in the candle light.! =0)
