Fabric Covered Easter Eggs

Wow, I just looked at the calendar to realize we only have four weeks until the Easter Bunny visits {how did that happen?}! Time to break out the pastels and get ready for spring and some sunshine...I am so ready!

Thought I would share some fun fabric wrapped eggs. A very simple, quick and low cost project with endless decorating possibilities!

Start with your basic plastic eggs found any and everywhere and some scrap fabric.

I used pinking shears to cut my fabric in 1/2 inch strips. You can use regular scissors as well - I just like the little detail the pinking shears give to the fabric edges.

Start at the base of your egg and dab a little hot glue to the end of your fabric strip to hold in place. Slowly wrap your egg making sure you overlap the edges - this helps keep any fabric that sticks out laying flat. Continue to wrap until your egg is completely covered.

I used a combination of fabrics for some variety.

The possibilities for these little guys are endless.

Add some to a bowl ~ Wrap a candle stick light with coordinating fabric...

and you have an adorable little light to welcome spring! Enjoy!
