Start by selecting a graphic image that you like. I used the Wish Digital Download from Olive Rue {found here}.Open up the image in a publishing program and cropped it down to the size you want to transfer. Since the image includes text be sure to REVERSE or FLIP the image so it will transfer properly. If this sounds intimidating, Olive Rue is great to work with as they will reverse any image purchased for you {just send them an email}.You can use this ornament concept for any image you like – Olive Rue even offers a free Vintage Chair Image for you to try out {here}.

Once the image is sized and flipped, print it out from your computer on Ink Jet T-shirt Transfer Paper and trim to size. You can find the paper in most craft stores in the section with the plain cotton t-shirts. Wal-mart and Target also carry the paper in the office supply section, usually near the printer paper.

Cut a piece of fabric to the size of the ornament you would like to make, adding 1 inch for the seams. My finished ornament measures 2 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide so I used a piece of Natural Osnaburg fabric measuring 4 1/2 inches wide by 6 inches long.

Fold the piece of cut fabric in half, creating a crease. Line the side edges with stitch witchery {a no-sew fusible web tape} and iron according to the packaged directions. Most brands only require a 30 second ironing.

Turn the fabric in side out, {which ends up being right side out} tucking in the raw edges of the open side.

Iron on your transfer according to the packaged directions for brand of paper you purchase. Most are as simple as pressing an iron over your image for 45 seconds.

Add any embellishments you would like. I used a few drops of Gorilla Super Glue on the crown and sprinkled with Silver PK Glitter Glitz.

Stuff the mini pillow with batting; nice and plump. Cut a piece of ribbon for the hanger, slip the ends into the pillow and simply use hot glue along the seam to seal shut.

All of the ornament tutorials featured are very basic and allow you to create them to your own personal taste and style ~ be creative and have fun! Enjoy!
