My 'Un-Mantel' Fall Mantel for the Mantel Party

I am joining my friend Beth today for her Mantle Party with my 'un-mantel' mantel. {Actually the consoles in my dining room - but Beth is cool so I think she will let it slide} I needed a quick put together for my son's party this past weekend and went with keeping it extremely simple, as you can see. I can spend hours trying to get things to come together when sometimes less thinking actually works too.

I used my collection of polished pumpkins to add some fall color. {you can find the polishing tip I shared {here} to make your pumpkins and gourds shine pretty} I mixed in a few faux straw pumpkins I already had to bring in some burnt orange. To support the pumpkins turned on their sides, clear glass tumblers were placed behind them.

The fern was an end of season find at the hardware store for $3.00 - I have a really hard time passing up clearance greens. It really doesn't scream fall but I do love the look of the fresh green. I nestled the pot into a cable knit sweater vase I made earlier last month {found here}

This quick fix will work for now but I'm thinking I will need to replace the green shortly to officially be feeling totally fall!

You can head over to Beth's Mantel Party {here} to see some 'real' mantels filled with lots of fabulous inspiration.
I have completely overused the word mantle in this post so forgive me =)
Happy Wednesday ~ Enjoy!

Haha as soon as I read your title I immediately thought of Alice and Wonderland- "un-birthday". Don't know why my mind went there- but it did :)
I'm loving your "un-mantel". :)
