Christmas Gift Sprig
{Handmade Ornament No. 17}Welcome…Sandra!

Hi all, I’m Sandra from Sawdust and Paper Scraps.
I’ve been trying to pull together an ornament idea for some time.

But, I’ve had a lot going on lately and I couldn’t give my Christmas Ornament project the time and focus it required. So , packed up my supplies and took them to Cabo… so I could focus. 🙂
Here’s what I came up with.

I collected a few empty “packages”,

some floral wire stems and white floral tape {bought at Hobby Lobby for about $2 each}, wrapping paper and other wrapping supplies.

I wrapped my “packages”.

Secured my stems by first trying to just stick them into the boxes
and after that didn’t hold them firmly, resorted to tape!

Then I added a little ribbon and used the floral tape to wrap all the stems together.

Now the only problem that I didn’t account for when planning to create my “Christmas Ornament” in Cabo…no Christmas Trees!!! You will just have to use your imagination!
It just doesn’t quite fit here.

But, I think if a person made a bunch of these sprigs and stuck them all over in an actual Christmas Tree with lights and beaded garland, it would look quite festive!

And the great thing is, the you could make about 50 for $4 {the cost of a package of stems and floral tape} and you can reuse a whole bunch of empty cardboard containers.

Thank you Sandra! I never really thought of making my own ‘sprigs’ ~ what a clever idea! These would work great on those bare spots that just need a little filler. p.s. I can’t believe you’re crafting in Cabo!!! – Thank you! =)

Ornament No. 18 will be posted shortly ~ in the meantime go visit Sandra at Sawdust and Paper Scraps {even though she’s in Cabo}!

Even though Sandra does not consider herself a carpenter {ha!}; I’ll just let these pictures speak for themselves…
{if you have a lot of wood in your house and are contemplating painting everything white…check out Sandra’s before and after pictures…they are all amazing transformations!}
