Clothespin Nativity Scene Ornaments by Belle at {Beautiful Nest} {Ornament No. 12}

I’m so happy to introduce
Belle from {Beautiful Nest}

Clothespin Nativity Scene
{Handmade Ornament No. 12}Welcome…Belle!

First off, a big thanks to Stephanie Lynn for asking me to feature homemade Christmas tree ornaments. It’s a joy be a part of this fun event! My name is Belle from Beautiful Nest, which I co-host with my sister, Sparrow.
Now on to the ornaments!
One reason I chose to use clothespins in this craft is because I have at least a hundred of them. At first I thought it would be neat to make a bunch of angels, but then during a conversation with my sister, she mentioned making shepherds and from that point I decided to make the whole nativity-minus the cow and donkey. My artsy skills failed me in drawing out those two animals.
So here’s what I used to make the Nativity.
Clothespins
Scissors
Cardboard {thin like used on cereal boxes}
Mod Podge
Glue Stick
Twist-ties for halos. {like you would see on a bag of bread}
Glitter
Scrapbook Paper
Ribbon
Black Marker
{Take a clothespin}
{Take cardboard and trace your design}
{Take Mod Podge}
{Add scrapbook paper and ribbon}
{The glue stick came in handy when applying the glitter}
{Scrapbook paper on star}
{Finished star after applying glitter}
{The Nativity}
{Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus}
{Wise man}
{The three wise men}
{The sheep}
{The shepherd and his flock}
{The angels}
So, if you’re looking for a simple and fun project, this might be one you’ll enjoy.
For other Christmas inspiration, be sure to stop by Beautiful Nest, we look forward to seeing you!

Thank You Belle! This nativity scene is adorable and I love the idea of adding the clothespin to a wreath. The sheep are just too cute!

I’ll be back in a few hours with Belle’s Counterpart, Sparrow, to share a bonus ornament for today! In the meantime, you can find Belle over at {Beautiful Nest}.

{Beautiful Nest} is a journal of adventures compiled by Belle and Sparrow {two sisters by birth, friends by choice, and homemakers by trade}. Here are a few of my ‘Belle’ favorites: Mini Ruffled Leg Warmers, Twiggy Wreath, Vintage School Desk, and Toddler Bedspreads.
