Scandinavian Inspired Mod Podge Ornament{Handmade Ornament No. 19}Welcome…Michelle!
Hello! My name is Michelle from Sweet Something Design. I’m so thrilled to be a part of Stephanie Lynn’s Exquisite Bloggers Handmade Ornament Extravaganza! Christmas is an especially nice time to create and creating handmade ornaments is one tradition I can count on, year after year.
I always like to create at least one kind of ornament to give as gifts, or add to our family collection. This year I’ve been consumed with all things Scandinavian and wanted to create some ornaments inspired by all things Nordic! When I found some unfinished paper mache ornaments at my local craft store, I knew they would be a perfect starting point for what I wanted to do. These are quick and simple ornaments that could certainly be reinterpreted to fit you own style, and get the kids involved too!
Continue all the way around until every section is done.

Thank you Michelle for sharing these darling ornaments; I love that these can be customized to fit any theme or style {though I adore your choice of prints and plaids}.
There is one more ornament to share today that will be posted shortly. Just enough time for you to wonder over to Sweet Something Design and visit Michelle.
Michelle has impeccable taste and such an eye for stylish design; it is evident throughout her home and in each project she posts. One of all time favorites is the Bottle Cap Tray {shown above} – So simple, colorful and fun!
…and her Tablescapes are no joke either! {Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, Happy Camper Tablescape, Lemonade Dreams & Gerber Daisy Wishes}
Do you have your own ornaments you’d like to share? There will be a special link party open on Sunday ~ I hope you’ll join in the fun! To browse through the past 19 ornaments – click the button above ~ Enjoy!
these are beautiful and look like a paper craft i could actually do! all those ones where you fold and fold and fold get me confused… but no folding here! great!
Very cute! 🙂
This is so beautiful! 🙂
Thank you so much for this great tutorial. Added this tutorial onto my blog today!
I’ve been doing these for years, but instead of paper I use fabric, double side tape and then to cover the edges I cover them with gold braid. I have found some brass findings that cover the top and the bottom points where the raw ends of the braiding hiding them nicely.
