Last Minute Gift Idea – How to Fold a Money Bracelet {Turn Dollar Bills into a Work of Art}

Last Minute Gift Idea – How to Fold a Money Bracelet {Turn Dollar Bills into a Work of Art}

With the holidays just a few days away, I wanted to share a cute way to make giving plain simple cash a little more fashionable and fun. I have two nieces that consider themselves 'tweens' and now-a-days cash is pretty much the most awesome {in their words} gift they can receive. I am really not big on sticking a few bills in an envelope however with a little folding those plain old bills can be turned into a neat piece of art. Begin by folding and creasing a single bill in half, horizontally. You will need a total of sixteen bills all Continue reading

Tom’s of Maine New Wicked Fresh! Products and a Bonus Target Gift Card Giveaway

This post brought to you by Tom's of Maine. All opinions are 100% mine.Ever since we found out my son has several severe food allergies last year, we have been more conscious about reading labels and aware of ingredients and harmful additives that are not only found in foods but everyday products as well. As it is something I should have been more concerned about to begin with, I admit it took the diagnosis to really open my eyes and become more informed about making healthy decisions for our entire family. With that being said, when I find a Continue reading

Welcome to The Sunday Showcase Party! I am pleased to welcome back Ammo Books this week with another fantastic giveaway. Recycled Sweater Wrapped Wreath {Whimsical Keys for Santa}

Recycled Sweater Wrapped Wreath {Whimsical Keys for Santa}

This is just to add a little whimsy to the decor...{plus I'm determined to use every inch of the chunky cable knit sweater I cut up} This is incredibly easy to do; I purchased a 16 inch foam wreath form - the square-ish kind - and laid the scraps of cable knit sweater out across the top; aligning the cable knit on seams. The sweater was then wrapped around to the back of the wreath and hot glued into place. The access was cut and the two ends were then pulled taut and hot glued together. Since the sweater has so much give it is really easy to Continue reading

Reviving an Old Frame with Spray Paint, Fabric and Some Cut Vinyl

Reviving an Old Frame with Spray Paint, Fabric and Some Cut Vinyl

I have a deep love for inexpensive wall art. The bigger the better ~ and I get so excited when I am able to find a way to create a custom piece to fill an empty space. Enter this lovely piece I picked up at the thrift store for $7.50. It was desperately stuck in the 80's with pink and blue floral and a shiny gold frame. The large 27X22 size though caught my eye as well as the detail of the linen inset around the frame. Nothing a little spray paint could not handle. I taped off the linen and gave the frame a good coat of Krylon Continue reading
