  1. This is a great inspiration post, Stephanie Lynn. I love looking at front doors. Mine is a light green, but I’m not thrilled with it. I’ll be saving this post!

  2. Wow, lovely doors! I painted mine bright red and now looking at these black ones… hmmm. Anyhoo, what a great collection of outside doors – thanks!!

  3. I love colored front doors; I have always painted my front door a color. Right now, my front door is blue; my house is yellow trimed in brown. I love my blue door!

  5. Doors tell a lot about a home. There is a book called doors. I have it and really enjoy it. I was on a house tour committee in St.Louis and we used doors of the homes on our poster. Doors, are just interesting and fun. Thanks for sharing, I am your newest follower. Richard at My Old Historic House

  8. A timely post. I’m thinking of painting My front door and shutters. These are great inspiration pics.

  9. How awesome to have this post right now! We just moved into a white saltbox style house with faded green shutters and a dingy green door. I’m excited to put new black shutters on this summer, and have been tossing around different door colors in my mind. This post gives lots of inspiration! Thanks!

  10. The blues are my favorite, but also loving how that orange door pops against the grey!

  11. I want to go in for a peek too… Beautiful ideas!
    Happy Weekend! Enjoy!!

  12. That was fun to look through! So many gorgeous ideas…

  13. Wow- these are all so gorgeous! What a boring door I have in comparison! I love looking at all of the front porch decor too. Have a great weekend!

  14. A rainbow of lovely entries. That damask door is an eye catcher! Don’t forget the back of the front door too – my realtor recommended a fresh coat of paint before I put my house on the market, since the back of the front door is the last thing people see as they leave. Thought it was great advice & it brightened up the whole entry on the inside!

  15. LOVE the door inspiration…found an idea for my own! Fingers crossed I can get the project going sometime this summer. Thanks for the pics.

  19. I had always wanted a red door until most of neighbors started painteing their doors some shade of red. I wanted our house to be stand out a bit. When we painted our house a year ago, we choose orange for our door. It’s beautiful! We get so many compliments on it.

  20. Love these pics! Absolutely beautiful! You should totally ask to put some of your sutff on that one site morethanporches.com, they would probably give you a link back and credit.
