Party Planning Tips

Whether you’re planning a summer barbecue, children’s birthday party, or a formal reception, you can find some helpful hints and inspiration with these party planning tips! Celebrating in style is all about making it your own and personalizing the event to fit your taste and creativity.

COLOR PALETTES: This aqua and orange baby shower (above) was one of my absolute favorite party features on Pizzazzerie. Styled in an unusual color palette, the guests enjoyed themselves with fancy treats such as macaroons in gorgeous milk glass bowls. You definitely don’t have to follow the typical pattern of diaper cakes + umbrellas if you don’t want to – think outside the box!

COMBINING THEMES: With the 4th of July right around the corner, there is lots of red, white, and blue in the air! Don’t be afraid to add in another theme to the mix for a stylish twist. We gave our 4th of July party a nautical twist with sailboat skewers, rope details, and lots of seashore details.

MAKE GUESTS FEEL SPECIAL: Whether it’s a signature cocktail in honor of the birthday girl or individual lunches in cute pink containers as seen in our Pink + Orange Summer Party, make your guests feel one-of-a-kind! Small favors on the way out the door are a great way to end the party in style and make your guests feel special. Even small candies in cellophane bags tied with a simple bow can make a simple + cute party favor!

COLOR + PATTERN: Get creative with colors and patterns! I love this Little Girl’s Gardening Birthday Party we featured because it incorporates a variety of colors and fun stripes! Whether it’s stripes, chevron, quatrefoil, or simple polka dots – patterns make your party POP!
