Happy 4th & Frozen Cheerio Banana Pops

Happy 4th & Frozen Cheerio Banana Pops

Happy Birthday America
land that I love

Hope each and every one of you had a wonderful holiday weekend
full of family, friends, and fun.

I wanted to share a super quick treat from my friends at Cheerios
we put these together for tonight’s festivities

General Mills included these fantastic sets of recipe cards to hand out during our breakfast bash last month and I just had to pass along this tasty treat that was included in them…
Frozen Cheerio Banana Pops

These are incredibly simple to put together and the kiddies love them
plus they are a pretty healthy snack too – {I just added the sprinkles for fun}

Frozen Cheerio Banana Pops
ingredients needed:
4 Firm Bananas
8 Wooden Sticks
1 to 2 Containers of Yogurt {I used Yoplait Blueberry Patch}
3 Cups of Cheerios® Cereal {I used Honey Nut}

Cover a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Empty the yogurt in one shallow dish and the cereal in another.

Peel bananas and cut in half. Insert wooden stick into the cut end of each banana.

Roll the bananas in yogurt, then in cereal to coat – add a dash of sprinkles if you like. Place the covered bananas on the cookie sheet and freeze for one hour, until firm.

Serve or wrap each banana in plastic wrap and store in freezer.

These make great summertime treats – nice and cold.

Have a wonderful evening and enjoy the fireworks!

  1. These look yummy! I passed a link of your site to my daughter in law who has two little kids who might appreciate these in our hot summers. TFS!

  2. What a cute photo of your son holding the flag – do you have a parade in your town? I remember taking my girls to 4th of July parades when they were little – now there doesn’t seem to many parades around. I hope you had a wonderful day.
    My best- Diane

  3. Oh, I am going to make these for my kids! They will love them! Thanks for sharing this recipe. 🙂

    By the way, that is such a sweet picture of your son! 🙂 Did you all have a good Independence Day? I hope you did, and that you have a wonderful Tuesday as well! 🙂

  4. Cute pic! And cute idea with the banana pops. Just wished mine were still young like that or my grand children lived closer to make them!

  5. Your little guy is a cutie pie!! Thanks for the recipe! I think my 4 year old would love this!

  6. Aw, I love your little guy’s picture! His little outfit is adorable, and so is he! I’m sure my GS will love the banana pops if he ever gets to come to visit. I’m not sure he’ll make it this year – he has to have his tonsils out soon.

  7. Yummy! This recipe is all over Pinterest and I gave it a whirl today for my 2 year old. It is a definite 2 thumbs up! Thank you!
