The Good Mood Board {Master Bedroom Edition}

Today I’m thrilled to be participating in the
The Good Mood Board Series
organized by Cassity from Remodelaholic

Cassity has put together a group of ten different bloggers to give you all a glimpse into our own personal styles through mood boards we each have created. Her goal for the series is to provide inspiration to get your creative juices flowing and for all of us to gain a better understanding of what we love, and seek for those things…

The first assignment for the series surrounds Master Bedrooms. I was excited to find this was the topic, as mine own master bedroom is in serious need of attention {hence why I have not yet shared the space} – The room is exactly the way it was the day we moved in as we have just concentrated on the first floor of our home. So you can see how thrilled I am to visually put together what has been brewing in my inspiration folder for the past year or so.

This room may not follow all the rules of decoration but it is composed of all the things I love and admire – The things I want to surround myself with in my own personal home.

When putting this inspiration board together, I obviously paid no attention to the budget or price tags – but that is what is so wonderful about a mood board; once created you have an instant shopping list of items to be on the lookout for {think sales and thrift finds}. Many of the pieces also spark some ideas and starting points for do-it-yourself projects.

If you have not yet tried Olioboard – I highly suggest to go check it out. It is so much fun [and a little addicting] actually seeing your ideas visually come together for a space. You can also keep track of all the pieces used to create your room for easy reference in the future. For a closer look at all the pieces I used, check out my Olioboard for direct links.

I hope you’ll stop by and check out the rest of the inspiring boards created today

  1. What a great resource. As soon as the rest of the house is out of construction mode I have promised myself I’m going to get primping our bedroom. Why is the master bedroom always the last place that gets touched?

  2. Stephanie! I love the feeling you created with your board. It is so enveloping and warm!

    I especially like what you said about creating a visual map to what you need to find, via affordable ways(like goodwill finds). And I especially loved the DIY ideas, since that what I(we all) love to do!

    I can’t wait for the next go round, I hope you will join us again!
