I’m delighted to introduce our next guest,
Sarah from Alderberry Hill

The exfoliating bark from white birch trees is just as attractive as the lovely tree itself and a highly sought after material found in rustic home decor. Sarah’s Birch Bark Topiary Trees captures this exquisite look in a festive display, bringing the outdoors in for the holiday season.
Good evening everyone! I am delighted to be participating in this marvelous series here at Stephanie Lynn’s fantastic blog, Under the Table and Dreaming.
My name is Sarah and I have a little blog called Alderberry Hill. I love all things crafty, perhaps a little too much – there is not enough hours in the day to craft all the ideas floating around in my head! Be sure to pop over and see what I have created for the Christmas season so far. Plus I will be starting a link party on Monday Nov 21st so be sure to drop over and link up what you’re working on.
I love to craft with items that I already have in the house – or outside the house! – frugality is in order.
Here we have a couple of cozy Birch Bark Christmas Trees.
- Two 12″ x 4″ STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam cones
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Birch Bark
- Scissors
- Small Vase (optional)
Start at the bottom of your cone and hot glue each piece working you way around the cone, overlap in places to make sure the STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam is not showing.
Super thanks to you Stephanie Lynn and STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam for including me in this festive crafting series!

Thanks so much Sarah for sharing your Birch Bark Topiaries. I love the curled ends of the birch – it gives the tree such a fantastic texture and rustic feel I could see being on display all winter long. I need to find some birch!
I’ll be back shortly with another project – just two more left to go. For a review of all the previous projects in this series simply click the event button above ~ Enjoy.

The Handmade Holidays series is brought to you by
