Mini Pinwheel Thankful Garland Banner

Happy Thanksgiving My Friends.
I have so much to be thankful for this year ~and truly grateful for each and every one of you.

I had great intentions of creating a meaningful ‘thankful’ project this year however, the past few weeks have flown by very quickly. I did mange to pull together this fast and easy Paper Thankful Garland made from a few supplies I had stored away. It can be made in less than an hour and customized by you, your family and even left blank for your holiday guests to fill.

Materials Needed:
Scrapbooking Paper and/or Card Stock
Scrapbooking Punches
Twine, Thread or Ribbon
Hot Glue

Additional Supplies Needed:
Paper Cutter or Scissors, Measuring Tape, Printer {optional}

Begin by laying a sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 scrapbook paper {or cardstock} horizontal, and cut it into long strips. The width of the strips will determine how big your finished paper wheels will be – I made mine about 2 inches for a smaller banner.

Fold each strip ‘accordion’ style. {you will need two strips for each paper wheel}

Connect the edges of the folded strips together at each end to form a circle, and glue into place.

Lay out a piece of string or twine the length that you would like your garland to be and evenly space your paper wheels.

Punch a number of circles from a piece of cardstock to use for the backing base of each paper wheel. Lay the circle on a flat surface, apply some glue, then place the string in the center.

Attached the paper wheel on top with some additional hot glue.

The ‘Thankful’ centers can be hand written or simply printed on cardstock from your computer.

Using a smaller punch than the circumference of your paper wheels, punch them out making sure to center the wording.

Glue your ‘thankfuls’ on top the paper wheels to complete.

Hope everyone has a fabulous day filled with lots to be thankful for ~ Enjoy!
