Game Day Food on a Stick Appetizers {Super Bowl Party Food} – Tuesday {ten}

In the spirit of the upcoming Game Day festivities, I thought I would round up some fun party food ideas for this weeks Tuesday {ten}. We all know food on a stick is an all time fair favorite of many and popping practically anything on wooden or metal skewer makes food options ten times more the fun. While they may take a little more time to prepare, the presentation is by far sure to impress your guests {even if it is a bunch of guys on game day}. These tasty little treats make clean up a snap and of course leave one hand free to hold your nice cold game day beverage.

{Ten Game Day Food on a Stick Treats}

{one} Salad on a stick is a nice healthy alternative to all the other fried {yummy} appetizers not to mention it’s pretty fresh colorful display. At past parties we have held the salad seems to never get touched but I’m thinking the stick version may get a little more attention.

{two} Our guests are always fans of anything wrapped in bacon – including these tender scallops stuffed in hearty mushroom caps. These little guys can easily be put together and ready in just 25 minutes.

{three} Spaghetti and Meatballs on a stick..oh yes – this one is far too clever and puts a super fun twist on this traditional Italian dish. The pasta and meatballs can be made ahead of time and refrigerated then when you are ready to serve just cut in squares, insert a stick and quickly fry in a pan of oil to warm.

{four} If the fried spaghetti and meatballs are pushing it a little over the top – here is lighter pasta version using cooked tortellini stacked with mini mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

{five} This easy kabob alternative to traditional pizza lets you really get creative with toppings – as long as they can be stacked on a stick anything goes. Plus wrapping with refrigerated pizza dough makes these something that can be put together in a snap.

{six} I just adore the presentation of this homemade meatball turned into a mini burger sandwich…and the best part is the cut chunk of a cheese stick hidden in the center.

{seven} Even inexpensive hotdogs can be dressed up by cutting them in chunks and stacking them on a stick. Grill with onions, peppers and pineapple slices as shown above from author Joanne Fitterer.

{eight} If you looking for a lighter fare, how about these club sandwich kabobs. Serve with mayo, mustard or ranch on the side for dipping.

and it’s so hard not to include some delectable sweets ….

{nine} These one bite s’more sticks are simply too adorable not to include. Forget the sticky mess that usually comes along with traditional s’mores with this fun spin using mini marshmallows, melted chocolate and crumbled graham crackers.

{ten} And finally this themed football cake pop is perfectly fitting to finish off your game day festivities. This simple recipe calls for just one store bought boxed cake mix and a can of frosting and it’s sure to be a hit with the little ones.
