Creative Features from The Sunday Showcase Party

The tiny pictures that show up for the links parties do not do the actual projects any justice - I am continually amazed each week as I click through to visit the links. I hope you enjoy getting a closer look at these creative projects as much as I have.... One Fish Two Fish Color Matching & Counting Activity {Dr. Seuss Kids Craft}

This Friday marks Dr. Seuss' 108th Birthday and we have been celebrating by re-visiting some of the classics that have stood the test of time from this beloved author and illustrator. I recently purchased the Dr. Seuss Beginner Book Collection App for my little guy and highly recommend it as the original visual artwork, picture/word association, and entertaining interactive features captivate and engage young readers - especially those who need visual stimulation, like my little guy. In honor of my little guys favorite, One Fish Two Fish Continue reading

Make Your Own Curtain Rod Finials for Under $3 {DIY Curtain Rod Solution}

It's been awhile since I first posted about Making Your Own Bay Window Curtain Rod and I wanted to share what I finally came up with for the finial. Curtain rods specifically designed for bay windows can be on the expensive side, especially if you have a custom sized window to dress - however with a simple piece of $1.89 electrical conduit from the hardware store you can make a rod yourself for a fraction of the price. {tutorial found here} This project is not only great for bay windows, but an even easier option to use for regular windows of Continue reading

40 Ideas to Dress Up Terra Cotta Flower Pots – DIY Planter Crafts {Saturday Inspiration & Ideas}

40 Ideas to Dress Up Terra Cotta Flower Pots – DIY Planter Crafts {Saturday Inspiration & Ideas}

I get so excited this time of year as I begin to see the garden sections and nurseries starting to fill with new merchandise for the spring. Even though it's still a bit early, some refreshing diy projects this time of year never hurt the anticipation of sunshine and warmer weather. I can never have enough flowers once the spring weather allows - and as I like to have them scattered around everywhere, I can never have enough pots to go along with them. Terra Cotta flower pots are fairly inexpensive, compared to the faux plastic look-a-likes, Continue reading

Flowerpot Bread Recipe {Make Bread in a Terra Cotta Flowerpot}

Flowerpot Bread Recipe {Make Bread in a Terra Cotta Flowerpot}

Warm baked bread right from the oven is one of my weaknesses. While I love the convenience of my bread machine, fresh homemade bread {made from scratch} with a beautiful outer crust is simply divine. Although it takes a little time to prepare this recipe, the ingredients are quite simple and very inexpensive. This bread can be baked in regular loaves or for a fun presentation {and a fabulous gift} the dough is perfect for Flowerpot Bread. This simple twist takes a regular plain terra cotta flowerpot and turns it into the perfect rustic Continue reading
