Candy Gumball & Wooden Bead Party Garland: Fun Holiday Decor

Hello my friends – hope your week is off to a wonderful start.
Our weekend was packed with icing, sprinkles and candy
as we spent the past couple of days decorating some sweet treats for the holiday.

While I’ll be showcasing the creative masterpieces later this week –
today I wanted to share some incredibly easy
decor projects I put together to simply entertain the kiddies.
These inexpensive holiday touches are a cinch to make

and can add a fun and whimsical touch to any space.
First up is this bright and cheerful party garland made from real candy gumballs.

Materiels Needed:
Gumballs
Wooden Beads {optional}
Ribbon or Twine
Tools Needed:
Metal Kitchen Skewer
Sewing Needle
I found the red, green, and white gumballs for just a $1 a pack and used two packs for this project.
Simply poke a metal skewer through the center of each gumball creating a hole.
Cut a piece of ribbon or twine to the desired length and thread one end with a large sewing needle.
Begin threading on each gumball.
I alternated the gumballs with some small wooden beads I had in the craft room.

I didn’t make our garland that long, as I only needed enough to drape around
our charming silver deer head.

Which ended up being the perfect length to double as a new necklace
for my little niece before the weekend was over.

I’ll be sharing few more quick and easy projects
throughout the day today – Enjoy.

  3. Make that “clever” idea. 😉

  4. It’s the simple things that are often the most effective. Will get the kids on this at the family gathering at Christmas Eve 😉
