As the second week of the New Year comes to a close, I have been getting excited thinking about some home project plans we would like to tackle in the next eleven months. I love the fresh, promising start each January brings and use it as a catalyst to get ourselves headed in the right direction around here.
Due to the unpredictability of our little guys daily schedule – our project plans are never set in stone…
though it does feel good to at least have outline of ideas to keep us on track
when things are aligned and we are ready to get to work.
Here are ten projects in our plans for 2013:
- Revamp our desk armoire and office area
- Add finishing touches to CJ’s indoor sensory playroom
- Pick out and install new flooring in the bedrooms
- Add more storage to CJ’s homeschool room
- Add more hand- built furniture to our diy party deck
- Install molding below the chair rail in the dining room
- Makeover the laundry room and add some storage options
- Revamp CJ’s playground area outside
- Install new tile in our master bath
- Add more storage and organization to our diy outdoor storage shed
As we all know a list of home project plans requires a nice arsenal of tools. Through the years we have built up our collection and it is still continuing to grow. This year we would like to add a paint sprayer, chain saw, and band saw to help with some of the projects we have planned.

I’d love to have a Ryobi 2.5-AMP Band Saw to cut out all of my crafting projects. My hand saw and miter box are nice to have, but they can only do so much.

My favorite project from Ryobi Nation is the Rockin Motorcycle. My son AND his bike-lovin’ daddy would absolutely adore one of those. I should print out the picture and tape it to the fridge to see if my hubby wants to make one. Lol.

My favorite project is the queen sized loft bed. My daughter wants to get rid of her bunk bed and wants a lofted bed. She would love this cozy study space.
