Soda Carton Gift Pack Caddy | Arby’s Giveaway

Soda Carton Gift Pack Caddy | Arby’s Giveaway

This post brought to you by Arby's. All opinions are 100% mine. Soda Carton Gift Pack Caddy | Arby's recently invited us to try their new Grand Turkey Club Sandwiches. I thought it would be a great opportunity to pass it along and brighten someone'e day. My mom recently broke her arm, which required a major surgery, so she was the perfect candidate in need of some cheering up. My little guy and I put together a quick and easy gift pack we could hand deliver to her, stuffed with a tasty Arby's lunch. Using a recycled soda bottle carton we Continue reading

Lasagna Soup Recipe | This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Barilla, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #betterforyou http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO With September right around the corner I've already started thinking about some of our favorite fall recipes. Nothing welcomes the crisp chill of the season like a hearty, comforting bowl of warm soup. Once the temperatures start to drop the dutch oven becomes a permanent decoration sitting upon our stovetop. One of our favorite recipes Continue reading

Paper Leaf Garland – sketch and cut

Paper Leaf Garland – sketch and cut

Paper Leaf Garland | I'm certainly not trying to rush the end of summer but the little guy and I spotted some changing leaves the other day and it has me yearning for fall. The changing of the seasons makes me want to make our home all warm and cozy - and I just love this time of year. The trail walk inspired me to put together this simple paper leaf garland for CJ's school room. It's incredibly easy and since it's made of paper, the leaves can be packed away at the end of the season for additional crafting next year. I used my Silhouette Continue reading

Staining Adirondack Chairs | preserving outdoor wooden furniture

Staining Adirondack Chairs | preserving outdoor wooden furniture

Staining Adirondack Chairs | A set of wooden Adirondack chairs have been on our wish since we moved in. There is just something about them that gives me that nostalgic feeling of grandma and grandpa sitting in the backyard with not a thing to do or a care in the world. For four years they have been bumped from the list each spring and replaced by bigger outdoor projects that have tended to take precedence. As we recently completed one of our biggest outdoor do-it-yourself projects to date (which I'll be sharing real soon) - I was asked to be Continue reading

DIY Laptop Desk | how to build a lap desk

DIY Laptop Desk | how to build a lap desk

DIY Laptop Desk | The idea of being able to instantly set up a mini work station is quite appealing when you spend a good amount of time on the computer. I've had these DIY Laptop Desk plans floating around my head since the beginning of the summer. Initially they were for me - thinking I would be able to get away from the desk and still work comfortably from my laptop during the warm summer months - however here we are at the beginning of another school year. The more I thought about the lap desk the more I realized it would probably be Continue reading

Our New HP 2000 Laptop Computer | back to (home) school

HP 2000 Laptop | With the beginning of a new school year right around the corner we've been compiling a wish list of supplies for a couple of weeks now. This will officially be our second year of homeschooling as our little guy will be entering the first grade! CJ is a very visual, hands on learner and loves technology. He has been using his iPad now for two years to communicate, learn and play - and it has been an absolutely amazing device all around. Even though we consider everything he does on the iPad to be therapeutic and educational - Continue reading

Whether you have children in school or not, this time of year it seems as if we are all looking for ways to simplify our time spent back in the kitchen and ease the stress of weekday meal planning. Things are a little different around here with our little Continue reading
