Outdoor Activity Cart for Kids – Backyard Summer Activities | This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Wet-Nap but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #showusyourmess http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Now that the last spring frost has finally past, a majority of our time will soon be spent outdoors. Between sprucing up the garden beds and prepping the decks – it’s normal for us to be outside from sun up to sun down.
To prevent spending a good amount of time running in and out of the house, last year I began putting together a daily outdoor activity cart for CJ.
It takes just a few minutes in the morning to gather some curiosities, pack a few snacks, and corral everything onto the easy to move cart – before heading outdoors.
While CJ loves to explore, the outdoor activity cart provides some fun alternatives to keep him occupied when he decides to slow it down and take a break from running around.
A few ready to go snacks & drinks are also tucked in. Clean fresh fruit or pre-packaged snacks arranged to freely grab throughout the day are perfect amenities for busy little ones.
Some of our favorites to load on the outdoor activity cart are…Bubbles
Crayons and Doodle Books
Some of our favorites include these from Andrew Pinder, Andy Davies
, and Nikalas Catlow
.
Fresh Fruit – for everyone.
Sidewalk Chalk
Good Old Fashion Books
Mini Arts & Craft Projects
Along with all of the fun outdoor activities come the messy moments. Wet-Nap hand wipes provide convenient antibacterial hand cleaning between all of the activities – without the need for soap and water. These small packettes I found at Walmart are my favorite as they are easy to take on the go and do not dry out.
From chalk and paint, to wet sticky bubbles – they are quick, easy and perfectly handy for those
on-the-go messes.
And a day outdoors just isn’t complete without a cold icy treat – Along with some ice pop holders to keep those little hands warm and protected from drips.
I originally shared these incredibly easy to make freeze pop holders four years ago. They are so simple to put together and equally inexpensive.
This time around I made a no sew version using this glue . It worked like a charm!

I really like this idea! I’ll have my grandkids for the day on Thursday and the weather is supposed to be quite nice soo I know they will want to play outside. I think I’ll put some sidewalk chalk, bubbles, board books, snacks, and sippy cups in a basket that can be carried out to the yard.
