The natural cupcake liners are from If You Care Products - {I found mine at Whole Foods and you can also find them online at Amazon} The fabric, tulle, and lace were just picked from scraps and cut with pinking shears. There was fun to be had by all during our celebration, which I'll be sharing shortly. Our bash took place outdoors and of course by the time the party ended there were enough cheerios to feed an army scattered just about everywhere. {you'll see exactly what I'm talking about from the party photos - things got a little crazy at the end} After the party, we took full Continue reading

Toddler Shoe Storage Bins – A Small Shoe Storage Solution

Toddler Shoe Storage Bins – A Small Shoe Storage Solution

One of the biggest 'space takers' on the floor of our entry way closet is my little guys shoes. Even though we only store his boots and everyday shoes in this space there are still quite a few pairs - {I can only imagine what a closet with a multiple teens would look like - yikes!} While the shoes are still on the small side, I find it best to keep them lumped together and contained in a basket or bin. This eliminates the hassle of searching around for a matching pair, as each tiny shoe around here always seems to make its way to opposite Continue reading

Create a Custom Natural Wall Art Piece With Wooden Shims

I have a fond love of decorating with do-it-yourself wall art. Filling bare walls can become pretty expensive with custom art pieces and that is only when you can actually find something that truly fits your style and personality. You get exactly what you looking for when you create your own pieces and it is not only fun to stretch your imagination, but far less expensive to fill any size space. I wanted to bring some natural rustic elements into the living room and started playing around with some wooden shims I had left over from this Continue reading

Large Glass Carboy Water Jug Find {& How to Apply Cut Vinyl to Glass}

I stumbled across this large glass carboy water jug at the local thrift store and couldn't pass it up. I remember growing up my parents had one that they would throw spare change into and I always thought it was pretty cool. The jug itself is pretty heavy and with the added weight of the change they ended up having to break it open when they moved because they could not even pick it up. While I am not really sure what I will end up doing with this one, I thought I would dress it up with some vinyl in the meantime to sit in the living Continue reading
